PROSPECTIVE buyers have been looking at Nantwich clothing company Heaps, which went into receivership last week with the loss of 90 jobs.

Receivers say that "a number of parties" have shown an interest in the assets of the company, which could mean jobs at the Nantwich or Willaston site, or possibly both.

But Joint Administrative Receiver Don Bailey said: "No serious negotiations have started. Several companies in the clothing manufacturing business have visited the site and I would anticipate that a number of parties who have shown interest will progress matters over the next four weeks."

Workers are currently finishing off the last few orders for the company, which has traded in the area for 80 years.
