MR CURZON is seeking clarification regarding the location of Winsford Hill.
The first picture of his article depicts its location. It was a single sided street facing Wharton Road. There were approximately 30 houses in the street. To the rear of Winsford Hill was Little Fold a close of approximately 10 houses, probably accessed by the apparent gap shown in the photograph. Hill Street itself started at right angles to Winsford Hill facing the Market Place and Station Road. It was a street with approximately 90 houses, which met Station Road where the end of Kingsway now is.
The Winsford Returns a record of service by Winsford residents provided some of this information.
