A RUNCORN man has died in a car crash on the Bridgewater expressway.
The 24-year-old victim was driving his Ford Sierra along the A533 towards Widnes at 7.50pm on Monday.
It is believed his car crossed the central reservation and collided with a Peugeot car and Vauxhall Cavalier travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Peugeot - a Widnes man - suffered serious injuries and is in hospital. The Runcorn man driving the Cavalier was slightly injured.
Police are now investigating the cause of the accident and are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 01928 713456.
