BOSTON ROB caused the big shock in the Warrington Sunday Soccer League Challenge Cup fourth round with their 4-0 win over Grange Valley.

Goals from Alan Tyghe, Mike McVey, Chris Batty and John Geoghegan saw the first division underdogs through in style.

In the Premier Division, leaders Whiston Carrs brushed off last week's surprise defeat and won 6-0 at Butchers Arms. Tommy Baker scored a hat-trick while the others came from Steve Piert, Graham Henderson and Liam Raven.

Challengers Starting Gate won 3-1 at Kembledean and Halton Sports beat Caledonia by the same score, but must rely on the leaders suffering a major loss of form.

Sidac AFC went on the rampage against Bridge, racking up 10 through a Carl Pilling hat-trick, doubles from Jay Niemen and sub Dave Ellis plus one apiece for Ian Frazer, Wayne Traynor and Simon Dawson.

Blundell Arms moved ahead of Cheshire Hawthorne into second place in Division One after thumping them 5-1. Jez Ashall, Neil Greenfield, Ant Mullarkey, Dan Rossi and Steve Riley found the net.

Goals from Ian Steele and Neil Matthews gave Wanderers a 2-1 win over Penny Black, while Ian McGrath hit Hawthorne's consolation.

In Division Two, second place Rylands kept up their challenge with a hard fought 3-2 win at Pierpoint and Bryant.

Old Ball had Geoff Williams and debutant Ray Fisher to thank for the goals that beat Pennine FC to keep them in the running. Another team on the charge are Martin Dawes who beat FC Crosfields 5-0 courtesy of a Dave Grindley hat-trick and two from Dan McCarthy.

Division Three leaders North Cheshire Celtic beat Culcheth FC 2-1, with goals from Kev Nicholls and Craig Canning. Second place Allied Alex overcame Astley & Tyldesley 3-1, with goals from Ian Jackson, Paul Bennion and Mark Tilling.

Division Four leaders Richmonds Raiders struggled at Borough FC, but goals from Steve Lears and secretary John Riley eventually saw them home 2-1. Kev Sands scored the home side's goal.

In Division Five, second place Tyrewise beat third place Gas Social 3-1 with a Keith Rooney brace and Marc Friend goal.
