Woolston Rovers 51
Shaw Cross Sharks 4
ROVERS produced an excellent second half performance to comfortably overcome their Yorkshire oponents in the BNFL National Cup third round at Bennett's Rec.
They turned around leading 9-4 and a Mark Shephard try off a Neil Kelly break two minutes into the second period laid the platform for Woolston to run riot.
Tries followed from Kelly, Mike Briggs, James Bell, a 70 yard special by Mark Wallington and two from Karl Taylor.
Graham Smith crossed for Woolston's only first half try with Steve Martin chipping in with nine goals and Kelly added a drop goal.
The man of the match was Rovers prop forward Shephard. He was well supported by Mike Briggs, Neil Kelly and Nigel Quarmby.
