WARRINGTON'S homeless are hoping to be a cut above the rest with the launch of a free haircutting service.

Stylists from Michele and Co have given up their free time to help out at Warrington Action for Homeless. John Hughes, from the charity project, hopes other hairdressers will follow the trend.

He said: "We are keen to develop any kind of welfare service for young people and were pleased when Michele and Co approached us to see if there was anything they could do to help.

"What we want now is other hairdressers to come forward so we can set up a rota system. All we need is four or five people to give up a few hours every couple of months."
