Greetings. As an ex-Warringtonian resident in Sydney since 1966 it is so convenient to keep in touch with the news from home via the internet. I would like to comment on the story re- the brick which hit the truck on the motorway.
We are experiencing similar incidents here also. But a few months ago the same thing happened with a disastrous result when the driver who was a father with two young children was killed.
The projectile smashed through the vehicle's windscreen and hit him in the chest. There were few other vehicles at the location at the time or it could have been really catastrophic.
Fortunatley the following manhunt resulted in the apprehending of several youths. I travel along these roads myself and it's more than a little unnerving to be constantly aware that one might well become a victim of such a senseless act.
The government has come to the party with respect to this and just because of the mindless acts of a few, millions of dollars are going to be spent on the erection of high guards on the overpasses.
