BUDDING actor Ben Lyon was Delight-ed when he was picked from thousands of hopefuls to star in a TV commercial.

The 15-year-old Culcheth High School pupil auditioned for Saatchi and Saatchi in Manchester to win the part. He appears on our screens as a mountain-bike riding teenager enjoying the fruit juice drink Sunny Delight with his friends.

Mum Chris said: "The advertising agency said Ben made them laugh and he stood out because of his personality. He's very laid back."

"He was on a high after the filming. He really enjoyed it and the agency said they were very pleased with him."

Ben, and his identical twin Matthew, recently signed with the Culcheth-based theatrical agency Eurokids. They are both hoping to find fame and fortune as stars of the big screen.

"We love drama," said Ben, "and we study it for GCSE at school.

"Acting sets you free and helps you forget all your worries. It's made us more confident and this has helped us excel in our other subjects at school.

"I was nervous before the filming, but I enjoyed being in front of the cameras. Everyone was really nice and helpful."

This was Ben's first job in showbusiness, but he says he is already planning his theatrical career.

"I'm going to take an A-level in theatre studies and then go to drama school," he said.

"In the future, I'd really like to act in films."
