POLICE are asking for the public's help in catching two men who attacked a teenager after ordering him to hand over cash.
The 14-year-old was set upon as he was walking down an alleyway linking Biddulph High Street with John Street at 10.40am on Saturday.
The men demanded money from the Biddulph High School pupil, who was pushed up against a bin when he said he had none.
One of the men removed his wallet, which contained a £20 note, before hitting the teenager in the face, causing his nose to bleed.
The man who hit the youth is described as white, in his early 20s. He had long, matted hair, and was wearing an olive green colour military-style great coat. The other man was of similar build and age.
Anyone who saw the incident should ring the police at Burslem CID on 01782-577114 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555111.
