CREWE supersub Kevin Street may still be forced to bide his time on the bench this Saturday despite an inspired performance against Norwich last week.

A double strike from Street helped the Alex recover from a seemingly unassailable two-goal deficit to win 3-2 in what could be the most important eight minutes of the season.

But manager Dario Gradi said his display didn't guarantee him a place in the starting line-up for the trip to Bradford.

"We won't change the team dramatically," he said.

"It won't be too difficult to leave Kevin out because it might be the best thing to have him as a substitute. Some people play better if they come on off the bench.

"It's a super situation to be in and I have been in this situation for a couple of weeks, because I have been wanting to put Kevin in as a result of what he has been doing in training.

"His first goal was sensational. He just took off with the ball in the air and he had great shape."

Crewe, although still bottom of Division 1, have now won three from their last five games to haul themselves back to within four points of escaping the relegation zone.

Big-spending Bradford have also overcome an early season slump in form and are currently riding high in fourth place with promotion in their sights.

"It's another hard game for us and that's all the more reason why it's good to get the points," said Gradi.

"We are doing well and that gives us a little bit of leeway, but they are flying at the moment and we can't be happy to keep conceding goals.

"We conceded another two on Saturday and that was the down side. But it really was a boost to the players for them to know that a comeback like that is possible."
