FUND RAISING is going on in Warrington to support the Cancer Gene 2000 appeal, launched by Clatterbridge Hospital, Wirral.
Satellite committees have been established over a wide area. The Warrington one is chaired by Janet Bashforth of Lymm, who set up the committee with a friend, Barrie Renshaw, secretary.
Said Janet: "Clatterbridge is Warrington's cancer hospital. The appeal will fund research into the cause of genetic cancer, and treatment."
The appeal has been under way since l997 and is not far from its target.
The next fund raising event in Warrington is a fashion show on March 29 at the Park Royal International Hotel, given by Sarah Siddons of Stockton Heath.
