TETLEY Walker's fine start to the new year continued when they completed a league double over Maghull on Saturday.
Walker got off to a flying start scoring after six minutes when the home side failed to clear a high ball from their area and Stuart Clay hit a stunning shot on the turn.
Maghull equalised when a cross bounced off Neil Maher's chest.
The second half started in similar fashion to the first with Walker scoring after six minutes. Man of the match Karl Jones sneaked in unchallenged at the far post to head home a Robbie Preidt cross.
Walker sealed their fourth win in five games in the 78th minute through a Lee Newbould strike.
Tomorrow, Saturday, Walker host Formby, kick-off 2pm.

Walker S & S continued their promotion push in the Mid Cheshire League Division Two on Saturday when they beat Poynton 3-1. Tomorrow they travel to Styal.
On Sunday, Tetley Walker youth team visit New Mills in the North West Youth Alliance.
