ENVIRONMENTALLY-friendly families joined forces with park rangers to recycle old Christmas trees at the weekend.
Members of the public were invited to Walton Hall gardens and Gatewarth Household Waste Site for the event organised by the rangers.
The trees were shredded into wood chippings to be used as mulch around the town's public parks. Visitors to Walton Hall on Sunday had the chance to take home chippings for use in their own gardens.
