But for Northwich manager Mark Gardiner, it wasn't too much of a let down.
He said: "To be honest, I didn't want the game to be played if the pitch was going to be heavy. We certainly didn't want another Droylsden."
He added: "Instead we had a really gruelling training session which was very productive. The lads are very fit and I don't think playing Radcliffe three days before a trip to Cheltenham will affect their performance on Saturday."
