The Division One side put up a brave performance against one of the Premiership's form teams in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

But for Bullock, who has recently returned to his Northwich roots after buying a house in Rudheath, it was just another game.

Before the game he revealed: "We've just been taking one game at a time and, to be honest, avoiding being sucked into trouble at the bottom end of the division is our main aim.

"I know the boss (John Hendrie) has been to watch Spurs a few times but he hasn't given any specific instructions to deal with particular players. Their squad is brimming with talent: David Ginola, Sol Campbell, Darren Anderton, Les Ferdinand; each one is qualty, but we've just got to get on with it."

Tony did admit, however, that the prospect of a semifinal clash with Newcastle at Old Trafford was appealing.

"I have never played there and it would be a great occasion but, even if we do beat Spurs, we've got a lot of league games to concentrate on before that match," he added.

Bullock, 27 and a former Northwich Vics player, has become Hendrie's first choice following a long term injury to Dave Watson. At the moment he is keeping experienced German 'keeper Lars Leese out of the side as Barnsley look to halt a spate of poor results which has seen the club fail to win a league game this year.

He said: "Things haven't been going well as far as the team is concerned but I have been doing well for the side from a personal point of view. I'm very happy with my form."
