PLANS to build a truck manufacturing plant in Middlewich have been held in abeyance by lorry maker ERF.
The application, due to go before planners at Congleton Borough Council on Monday night, was put on hold by the company.
But Colin Sharp, senior planning officer at Congleton Borough Council, revealed that ERF could resubmit the plans at a later date.
He explained why proposals to build a new truck plant at Midpoint 18 business park, Middlewich, had been suspended.
"Last Friday Cledford Hall farm was made a listed building.
"The ERF proposal would have involved its demolition but now it's a listed building this can not be done," he said.
"Therefore ERF's planning application, which was due to be considered by the committee on Monday night, has been held in abeyance but they are hoping to resubmit it."
