IT'S nearly May, time to put our little cross to vote for the local council.

They march on your door promising all sorts, with their fingers crossed, hoping to convert you to vote for them.

Well this year think! Will they do anything to make your life easier? Will they stop vandalism? Will they stop the graffiti and dog dirt?

I live on the Grange and it used to be a nice estate. Now we have drug dealing, under-age sex, yes it's true.

Just come up to the shops at night and see. We have people selling cars outside their homes - not one, but three. They even repair them at the back of their homes.

Dog dirt galore, graffiti, vandalism and groups of youths. Where? On the Grange estate!

The poor pensioners don't stand a chance, having to run the gauntlet with these yobs throwing mud and stones at windows and giving the height of abuse when challenged.

We are not allowed to retaliate because the law says so.

The bobby on the beat should be brought back - at least they talked to you. Now they sit snug in their cars, not knowing what goes on off the roads.

If these yobs are our future generations to come, God help the country.

Concerned,

Grange estate.
