ARE the residents of Northwich, Davenham, Moulton, Winsford and Middlewich aware of the proposal that the Salt Union (joint venture Minosus) are planning to inflict on our area.

Their planning application 4/34566 intends the worked out areas of the Salt Mine to be used for the storage of industrial waste.

In fact their own publication states that 100,000 tonnes/year of industrial waste will be transported through our town for at least the next 20 years.

Countless lorries will be carrying this waste on our roads, past our homes and schools at any given time of day.

Just as the Northwich area is planning to remodel itself with its Vision for the new century, this plan will stab us in the back.

Northwich and its surrounding areas will become synonymous with industrial waste!

I would call upon all members of the community to act now, write to the county planning department, your councillors, your MP, before May 12 to stop this betrayal of all our futures.
