LITTLE Suzy Mackay was desperately disappointed when she couldn't play in her new summer house.

The five-year-old wanted to help mum Lesley decorate it at their Rudheath home . . but now it has gone.

For Lesley, of Shipbrook Road, claims the structure was dangerous and has now sent it back to Crossley Garden Buildings, in Manchester.

"It's disgusting. There were nails sticking out, a jagged piece of glass left inside a window pane, another window pane missing, which was found on the drive and bits of wooden splinters. It certainly wasn't safe for a child," said Lesley.

Barbara Cruftley, of Crossley Garden Buildings, said the summer houses were not built for children.

She said: "All they are is sheds. We do playhouses for children which are thoroughly checked for safety standards.

"We sell a lot of buildings in the area and rarely have a situation like this.

"However our policy is that the customer is always right and we have given her her money back," she added.
