I would like to suggest that the traders who were so vociferous against the scheme should walk down the street with my three-year-old, disabled and very independent grandson. It is hair-raising, trying to make sure he does not over-balance off the edge of the pavement and I'm not the only one to have this problem.
I have great sympathy for the person who was knocked down last week and do hope a full recovery has been made.
