Halton Borough Girls u12s 4
Crosby u12s 0
A FINE team performance coupled with some outstanding individual displays was the catalyst for an emphatic win for the Halton side.
Solid at the back were Vicky Jones and Kali Whitbread who were determined, confident and made great use of the ball.
Clinical up front was Hannah Pauline who worked tirelessly and was rewarded with her second hat-trick in three games.
It was in midfield, however, that Halton took a grip of this game.
Anna Jenkins was brave and confident, her positive approach should have been rewarded with a goal.
Kelly Jones pulled all the strings in the middle with some dogged defending and intelligent approach play.
Lucy Osborne on the left, fully deserved her Mom award for a dazzling display.
She teased and tormented Crosby throughout the game, they just couldn't cope with her.
As on the right Natalie Brady whose positive attacking play was rewarded with a goal that she took clinically, ending a move she had started herself.
Such was the Borough sides dominance that keeper Lauren Farrell only had one real save to make, but what a save.
Already committing herself to her right she somehow managed to stop the ball on her left, to deny the Crosby forwards close-range shot.
All in all it was a fitting display for the Borough sides final league game of the season.
It's just a small matter of keeping this kind of performance going in the Cup.
