HARTFORD'S comfortable victory against Audlem sealed them promotion to Division One but the title is still up for grabs after Over Peover beat Northwich.

Both teams are promoted but with only four points between the two the race for the first place is still wide open.

Jeff Brider ripped through the Audlem line-up to take 6-31 as Hartford cruised to a win.

The home side were dismissed for 119 before an excellent unbeaten innings of 58 from Geoff Sharp and a solid 39 from captain Matt Shinkfield saw them home for the loss of only two wickets.

Northwich could do little to stop Over Peover grabing the second promotion spot in their match at Moss Farm.

Northwich were put in to bat and could only manage 76 before being bowled out by the impressive visitors.

Over Peover never looked in danger and reached 78-2 to seal the win.

Now they're hoping Hartford slip up so they can take the Division Two title to Knutsford.

The defeat means Northwich slip down the league as local rivals Kingsley continue to climb despite a close shave against Maer and Westlands.

Kingsley were bowled out for 87 by the visitors but an inspired performance by David Whyke salvaged the match.

A superb spell saw him take 7-37 to stop Maer in their tracks.

They were eventually dismissed only two runs short of the total.
