VICS manager Mark Gardiner believes his side can beat anybody on their day.

The Drill Field men will entertain the league's moneymen Rushden and Diamonds on Saturday and Gardiner is confident his team can get a result.

"All the games are tough in this league but what I'm focusing on is getting the three points," he said.

"They might be a team with a lot of money but that won't change the way we prepare for them. Whether we're playing Rushden or Welling we won't change our game.

"We've got a good squad with some good players and I hope we can make teams change the way they play to combat us."

Gardiner was pleased with the weekend's performances - a 3-1 defeat at Nuneaton followed by a good 2-1 win at home against Doncaster - and wants Vics to continue playing their flowing football.

He added: "We played Nuneaton off the pitch for an hour and then we lost our heads, but I was still happy with the overall performance.

"In the first half against Doncaster we played some great football and could've had a number of goals. In the end we ran out comfortable winners."

With two wins, two draws and only one defeat from five matches, Vics currently lie in 11th spot in the Nationwide Conference.
