Mond had the better of the opening period and the goal disrupted their game plan.

A second penalty in the 87th minute produced an opportunity that Kevin Hammond slammed home for a deserved equaliser.

Mond have signed Simon Porter from Helsby BI's conquering team of last season.

Manager Rod Looker was happy to add the experience and quality of Porter to the Mond set-up: "I am considering putting in seven days notice on another local rival club for another quality forward," said the Mond manager who is clearly happy with players at Mond.
