DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses to come forward to help them piece together the sequence of events leading up to the death of Eunice Watts.

Mrs Watts, 54, was found stabbed to death at her home at 144 The Glen, Palacefields on Saturday December 4.

Police waited for over a week to question 57-year-old Christopher Watts, who was found collapsed in the house on the night that Eunice's body was found.

Mr Watts, who is believed to be the victims husband, was taken to Whiston Hospital where he remained in a critical condition in intensive care and died at 5pm on Monday night.

Ivor Lewis, spokesperson for Cheshire Police said yesterday: "We are not looking to question anyone else in relation to this incident."

But detectives are still appealing for anyone who came into contact with Eunice on Saturday December 4 to contact them with any information they may have on 01244 613920.
