A RUDHEATH girl is celebrating after her poem was selected in a national competition to be published in an anthology of verse.
Katie Valentine, of Cotebrook Road, wrote I Wonder - telling how she misses her great grandmother who died last year.
And now the 14-year-old will see her work published in a book called Thoughts And Reflections - and the poem will go into the competition final next April with the chance to win £500.
Katie, who attends Rudheath High School, also stands to win prizes for her school.
Katie's mum Julie said: "Katie is really pleased and I am very proud of her - and it's all thanks to seeing the competition in the Guardian.
