ALSAGER'S new mums were given tips this week on breast feeding, how to resuscitate a child and fire safety in the home.
The advice was offered by health professionals at a pregnancy and baby awareness day at Lloyds Pharmacy in Lawton Road.
The event was attended by midwives and health visitors, and enabled new mums to receive advice on all aspects of parenthood, including breast feeding.
St John's Ambulance personnel were on hand to advise on infant resuscitation, and firefighters offered information on fire safety.
Parents were also able to question car safety experts about appropriate restraints for children and correct positions for car seats.
"We are delighted by the support we have received from the area's healthcare professionals," said Lloyds pharmacy area manager Tracey Dowe.
