WARRINGTON South MP Helen Southworth has praised the progress of the peace centre and is working with staff towards future fund-raising.
Mrs Southworth visited the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Young People's Centre on Monday to meet Colin and Wendy Parry and the centre's team.
They discussed ideas such as an auction for a visit to the Houses of Parliament and met new members of the team such as chief executive Janet Wright.
Mrs Southworth even sponsored Colin Parry on his fund-raising slim while she was at the centre.
She said: "I think it is a great centre. I have been there a few times but it is still in the opening stages and we need to help support it and build it up because there are so many things that happen there."
Mrs Southworth has been raising the profile of the peace centre at Westminster and has discussed ways to raise funds.
