MANY, many, days ago, along with many others
We gathered on the town hall lawn, a happy band of brothers
A stadium we wanted to watch the Wolves at play
For we all know, without it the club would fade away.
When all the talk was over the Council said OK
We sang, we cheered, we disco'd, oh what a happy day
The stadium is yours they said, just John Prescot to be done,
But someone sent a letter, we will not forget that one.
21 days they told us, that's all you'll have to wait
It's now over 100 days, have we been stood up on the date?
When will someone tell us what the hell is going on?
Is Prescott on his holidays, are all the lines engaged,
Or are they waiting for our club to die, and no more happy days.
