BUTCHERS Arms booked their place in the second round of Warrington Sunday Soccer League's Premier Cup after a hard fought 4-3 victory over Allied Alex.

In a see-saw battle Allied, with strikes by Steve Taylor, Colin Halpin and Steve Hitchmough, held a 3-2 advantage over Butchers, who's marksmen were Simon King and Ali McGregor.

King struck to level the scores and then hit the winner to complete his hat-trick.

Dave Tickle, Neil Barker and Neil Wightman helped Cheshire Hawthorne progress with a 3-1 win at Manor Farm. Mike Roberts replied for Farm.
