CROSFIELDS scored eight tries in a resounding National Conference League Division Two victory at Hood Lane.

Once Crosfields crossed the line for the first try their domination grew by the minute.

Andy Holroyd and Dave Gibbons scored as Crosfields built up a 12-0 half-time lead.

The try of the game started the second half when John Bannon broke through and fed centre Ian Hannon. He handed on to Fraser Lineker who rounded his winger, drew the full back and returned the ball to Hannon who raced between the posts. Redmond converted.

Minutes later Hannon crossed for his second try, Holroyd claimed his second and Gibbons raced 80 metres to score his second.

Hannon completed his hat-trick and Rob Ditchfield crashed over for a try in the last minute. Redmond completed the game with six goals.

Special mention for the efforts of Andy Pucill in the pack and Hannon, who received the man of the match award.

Crosfields are away to New Earswick All Blacks on Saturday.

In NWC Division Five Crosfields Alliance defeated table-toppers Waterhead 22-14 with tries from Pete Royale, Ste Sinclair, Harry Howell and stalwart Doug Johnson.
