THERE were two reasons to celebrate for three Julies at Mid Cheshire College last week.

The Hartford campus hosted an awards evening on Wednesday for students studying childcare qualifications.

And not only did Julie Wilkinson, Julie Sullivan and Julie Mainwaring all receive passes on the same course - but they have all landed jobs as classroom assistants as well.

But the awards evening proved to be a successful night for all 23 women on the CACHE diploma in childcare and education (DCE), formerly known as NNEB.

A 100 per cent pass rate meant diplomas were also awarded to Hayley Boardman, Katherine Cunningham, Joanne Dale, Nicola Eaton, Clare Ellis, Martha Fernandez, Hannah Grange, Alison Hampson, Sarah Hodges, Joanne Jennings, Kimberley Parry, Jody Quilty Naomi Read, Kate Roe, Carys Rogers, Keri Vale, Melanie Warburton, Laura Wiggins and Kathryn Wurcbacher

The diploma was made even more worthwhile for student Leila Giraud, who came all the way from St Tropez in the south of France to study at Mid Cheshire College for two years.

Certificates were also presented to students who had gained a BTEC national diploma in early years, BTEC national diploma in health service, and a BTEC vocational A Level (AVCE) in health and social care.
