STAN ULLATHORNE won Widnes Golf Club's principal knockout prize on Sunday when he lifted the Everite Cup following his convincing five and four victory over Tim Whittaker in the 36 hole final.
The Everite was the feature of a busy day of five finals played over the Highfield Road course on the day.
The Past Captain's Trophy went to Mervyn Jones and Bob O'Callaghan who defeated Steve Roberts and Derek Rawlinson in the final.
Jones repeated his victory over Rawlinson in the Veteran's Final and Whittaker gained consolation for his Everite defeat by teaming up with Marjorie Harvey to take the Dorothy Knight Rose Bowl.
The Phillips Rose Bowl - the major knockout competition for women members went to Carol Davies who edged out Phyllis Grundy by one hole.
