ONE moment of Mellor magic swung this match Halton's way after a battering by Capenhurst's forwards.
The home side scored a penalty and dominated possession but couldn't break Halton's' defence.
Halton's Duncan Curphey kicked a 40-metre penalty and another rare attack saw standoff Mellor put Paul Curphey over to give Halton victory. Coach Barry Stanley was delighted with his team's tackling performance.
