THE PACIFIC Brands Merseyside Youth Cricket season came to a close last weekend with the U15s final.
Widnes CC U15s took a tremendous double in this age group, winning both the Echo Summer Holiday League and Midweek Cup Competition.
They played Rainhill CC on Saturday at Prescott/Odyssey and won easily after bowling Rainhill out for 63, Mark Ford being the pick of the Widnes bowlers with 3/2.
Widnes beat Bootle in the Midweek Cup final on Sunday after reaching 108/4 in their 20 overs, with anchorman Danny Moore notching up 45no with assistance from Moss, Critchley and Tabb.
Widnes CC also took the Mersey Youth Cricket Cup at U11s .
The junior presentation night at Widnes CC is on Friday, October 26 at 7.45pm, and all are welcome.
