THE retained firefighters at Middlewich Fire Station are looking to help raise funds for their New York counterparts.
In the wake of the terrible atrocities of two weeks ago a fund has been set up in aid of the New York firefighters and in a show of solidarity, Paul Winder and the team from Middlewich are set to parade around the town's pubs this Saturday, September 29, to raise money for the Appeal on Behalf of the New York Firefighters.
Hundreds of New York's emergency service men and women are still missing in the rubble of the collapsed World Trade Centre and the appeal has been set up to raise money for the families of those who are still missing.
