RESIDENTS living on the Grange estate are being urged to attend a meeting which could prove vital to the future of the estate.
The meeting has been arranged to discuss all the implications of the proposed council housing transfer, which could see all the remaining council owned housing stock transferred to a new registered social landlord, Weaver Valley Housing.
If approved the transfer will mean an increase in funds available to renovate the houses in question providing benefits such as double glazing and new fitted kitchens for many of the properties
The meeting, which will also involve Aldbourne Associates, specialist advisers to tenants involved in housing transfers, is to take place at New Images Youth Centre on Nixon Drive at 7pm on September 26.
The Grange Residents Association is hoping to ensure that as many people as possible attend the meeting and discuss what is likely to the biggest decision ever facing tenants in Vale Royal.
