EIGHT community groups in Vale Royal have gathered their paintbrushes and easels together to celebrate World Mental Health Day next month.
Five students from Hebden Green Community Special School, youngsters using the drop-in service at the Youth Info Shop, members of Winsford Mind, eight members of staff from Northwich's Victoria Infirmary, Frodsham and Rainbow Youth Group, Northwich CVS New Deal, New Images Youth Club and members of Northwich Link are all taking part in the event, on Wednesday, October 10.
Over the past six months local artists have been working alongside the groups to produce art work that celebrates positive mental well-being and highlights the issues that contribute to good mental health.
The work, based on Reasons to be Cheerful, has been produced using mosaic, photography, puppets, videos, performance, textiles, painting, printmaking and ceramics.
It will be displayed in an exhibition at the London Road Gallery in Northwich, from October 1 to October 26.
