LOUISE Whittaker won a silver medal in the European Clubs Champions Cup in France on Saturday.
But even the 18-year-old's superb performance in the 1500 metres at Rennes wasn't enough for her club Sale Harriers to win the overall competition.
Representing Great Britain, Harriers finished level on points with Slovenia, but lost on a countback of silver medals.
The medal won by Whittaker was one of three Sale silvers, but the Slovenians had five.
