LOCAL horticulturists, art lovers and historians are preparing for a weekend of activity and interest at the Kingsley Flower Festival.
The event, which will take place between September 28 and 30, is being organised to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Kingsley St John's Church.
To mark the occasion local people have formed the Kingsley Flower Festival Committee to organise the event.
Acclaimed floral designer Deana Emerton is being brought in to decorate the church, and there will also be an exhibition and sale of paintings by local artists taking place at Kingsley Community Centre.
Also featured in the celebrations will be stalls for cards and tea towels, as well as homemade food and drinks.
The festival will begin at 2pm on Friday September 28 and run throughout the three days.
Programmes will be available for £2.50 and all profits will be put towards the general maintenance of the church.
