I WRITE in disgust and contempt at the dog owners around the neighbourhood of Eltham Close, Widnes.
This once pleasant open planned estate has now become the dog dirt capital of the town.
I challenge anyone to find a road or street in the borough where dogs are allowed to roam free to foul lawns, pavements and footpaths to the extent of this area, all without supervision.
I personally have witnessed with horror one such mongrel, aged in years, defecate three different areas over a month long time scale with not an owner in sight. I hope they're proud.
This is other people's property and they have the right to a clean environment.
A dog is a responsibility and the dog owners of this area are not taking their responsibilities serious enough, it is time they considered their worthiness as dog owners and either parted company with man's best friend' or got their scoopers out.
Consider this an open challenge to the residents of Widnes' urban estates.
Do you know a dog dirt alley to match Eltham Close or is it unrivalled in its foulness?
