BIRCHWOOD Town Council has joined forces with the police in a bid to address the problem of anti-social behaviour.
Community Sergeant Derek Jones will be urging people not to suffer in silence and promises that any information received will be acted upon.
"Anti-social behaviour can take many forms," he said, "but I particularly want to address the problems caused by adolescents - for example, damage, drugs, vehicle crime, under-age drinking and general nuisance.
"You may have tried to do something yourself, but have received threats or are frightened to get involved because of possible intimidation.
"To tackle this problem, I need to be made aware of incidents, especially if you know the names of the persons responsible."
Contact Sgt Jones at Risley Police Station via the switchboard on 652222 or e-mail derek.jones7470@cheshire.police.uk. You can also anonymously call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, or call one of the local councillors.
