TALENTED seamstresses from Birchwood have created a little piece of history to mark the Millennium.
The women from the district's WI unveiled a giant tapestry at Birchwood Shopping Centre on Saturday.
The artwork features a map of the area, as well as detailed pictures of some of Birchwood's landmarks. These include the statues in Forest Park, historic Parkers Farm, home of the town council, and the station.The tapestry was on show as part of a promotional day for the organisation and will eventually be officially handed over to the town council.
