AN 11-year-old schoolgirl has suffered serious leg injuries in what appears to be a hit-and-run incident.
The girl was crossing the road near to Cardinal Newman RC High School on Bridgewater Avenue on Thursday, September 20 at around 3.05pm when she was in collision with a grey car.
The car initially stopped but then left the scene without leaving any details of the driver. A man was driving with a blonde woman and a child.
The girl was taken to Warrington Hospital with serious leg injuries but is now said to be in a comfortable condition.
Police are appealing for the driver to come forward. If you have any information call the traffic unit at Warrington on 652222.
