ALPHA courses start this week in Haslington and Winterley. A series of discussions is designed to help people find out what Christians really believe, and whether or not it makes sense.'

Organisers make three guarantees - no embarrassment (no singing, praying or anything religious'); no boredom (expect lively discussions with plenty of time for questions); no pressure (relevant facts and evidence to be explained without manipulation).

Jesus - discover the truth for yourself' is the theme for discussion at the first session on Friday, September 28, at 7.30pm in the Coffee Pot at the rear of the United Reformed Church, The Dingle.

The first evening is suggested as a taster to help you decide whether to continue with the rest of the meetings.
