CROWN caused an upset in Grappenhall Darts League by beating ESM A 7-2.
Crown went into a 5-1 lead. Steve Brotherston and Rob Ocego both wanted double after six darts but Steve won in 18 and Rob in 19 darts.
Steve Daley won his game in 20 darts for ESMA. Kev Jones won in 25 darts.
A great match was played at Golden Lion with Bull winning 5-3.
Most darts for the night was 24. Colin Peacock, 16 and Geoff Noon, 20, succeeded for Lion and J. Holt and Wayne Bancroft hauled Bull back to 2-2. Brian Watson drew in 16 against Phil Gamble but Bull pulled away to win the next two games through Paul Oxley, 19 and Norm Jackson, 22.
New signing Clive John won in 12 for Lion's last game.
A hard-fought match was played between ESMB and Bridge with John Dobson making it safe for the B team.
ESMB had gone into a 4-2 lead but John Hardy won his game to put Bridge back in contention.
Best for ESMB were Clive Jesson, 16 and Harry Murray, 21. Best for Bridge were Steve Bebbington, 21 and Pete Nolan, 27.
Pickering Arms beat GTL B 6-3. The top men for Pickering were Ian Ocego, 15 and Terry Sheen, 21. Tony Goldsmith was tops for GTL B in 23.
Mulberry Tree went into a 5-0 lead against Wheatsheaf but had to settle for a 6-3 result. Top men for Mul were Steve Addison, 19 and Grahem Dutton, 14. Stewart Welsh won in 16 for Wheatsheaf.
Lymm Legion B lost 6-3 to Saracens in a low key match. The best throwing came from Saracens' Eddy Williams, who won in 23.
