WARRINGTON Centre for Gymnastics had a busy but fruitful weekend at Blackpool.
It was celebration time on Sunday when Warrington won the 10 and 11-year-old groups of the North West Age Group Championships.
In the 10 years age group, Zoe Allen topped off her first overall placing with gold on the bars, silver on vault and bronze on floor and beam.
Kayleigh Watson was placed first overall in the 11 years age group with individual medals of silver on bars and beam plus a bronze on floor.
With scores added in from the Grades competition earlier in the year both Kayleigh and Zoe finished second in the north west.
The previous day the North West Novice competition took place.
In the under 14 years age group Misha Timmins took first place overall by gaining firsts on floor and beam and in the under 12s Laura Simpson also gained the gold medal overall with first on bars and third on floor.
Leah Monks gave a creditable performance on the beam winning the gold medal.
In the under 8 years section Jessica Deakin, in her first competition, was placed third on the beam.
