A COMPASSIONATE play capturing the story of Alan Turing, the man who broke the German Enigma code, is being staged at Chester Gateway Theatre.
Breaking The Code by Hugh Whitemore opens on Thursday, February 7 and runs until Saturday, March 2.
Turing was decorated by Churchill after cracking the code during World War II. He also shattered the English code of sexual discretion with his homosexuality, for which he was arrested on a charge of gross indecency.
