CREWE and Nantwich RUFC slumped to a disappointing 18-6 defeat at Ashton-on-Mersey, last Saturday.
In a terrible start, Ashton won a line-out near Crewe's line and a clean catch and drive saw them open the scoring after just 5 minutes.
Two more identical moves in quick succession equalled two further tries.
It was all too easy for the home side as they added a penalty for an 18-0 lead at the break.
Crewe did get their act together after the interval and showed far more aggression, which earned a lot more time with the ball.
Danny Lynch landed two penalty goals and the threequarters enjoyed some great runs but they could not convert them into tries.
League action for Crewe again this Saturday with a trip to Moore.
