THE pensioners of Winsford are to celebrate the Queen's golden jubilee in style by putting on a party at the Winsford Civic Hall.
There has been little news so far on what the town will be doing to mark the occasion so Harry Mooney of Vale Royal Pensioners' Association decided to do something about it and book the hall for the day.
During the morning of Monday, June 3 there will be a party for the primary school children of Winsford before another party in the afternoon for secondary school children.
In the evening there will be a ball for the pensioners and anyone else who wants to join in.
The pensioners have started a collection to fund the events. Individuals, businesses or organisations would like to help can ring Harry Mooney on 01606 557656.
